Quickly becoming one of the most sought after voice teachers in the Broadway, Pop, Rock & Opera communities and winner of the BACKSTAGE magazine and Backstage.com's Reader's Choice Awards for NYC's FAVORITE VOCAL COACH 2016!  Mr. Drost draws on his own life experiences as a professional ballet dancer and an international opera singer to form the foundation of a healthy vocal technique.  Mr. Drost is currently in the Broadway cast of The Phantom of the Opera as well as being the founder of NYC's newest and most exciting professional training program for Musical Theatre: 
The Institute for American Musical Theatre.
 
His experiences with Alexander technique, Feldenkrais work, as well as working with some of the best voice teachers, coaches, breathing specialists and otolaryngologists from around the World has helped Mr. Drost cultivate and create VoiceBarre®, a systematic approach to vocal technique.
 
Mr. Drost currently has 31 students in Broadway shows & National Tours such as: Jersey Boys, The Phantom of the Opera, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Hello Dolly w/Bette Midler, CATS broadway revival, Wicked National Tour, The Phantom of the Opera National Tour,  On The Town, An American in Paris (Bway & National Tour), Tuck Everlasting, Natasha & Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812Newsies National TourShuffle Along, After Midnight, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Chicago, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, Mamma Mia!
